How would you like to have THIS guy’s job? On the street, hanging at shows, in the studio, and wherever else he may roam, Freak is Rock 103.5’s ear to the ground and the voice of choice for legions of Chicago metalheads.

As host of his own "Radio Anarchy" on Saturday nights, Freak raids his own extensive collection of death/speed/thrash metal as well as obscure gems which he has been collecting like a mad dog since 1983. Freak can also pop up on the air at any time throughout the day... you never know where, or when, or how, or even why, but neither do we and that’s what makes it fun.

Freak’s legendary love affair with live music began while he was still in high school, hauling road cases for the Metro and the Aragon in exchange for beer and a ticket to the show. As things tend to do in his world, one thing led to another, and next thing he knew, he was traveling the globe with Iron Maiden, Soundgarden, Motorhead, Metallica, and the almighty Slayer. Years of touring and a stint as a member of Second City landed Freak on our doorstep and he hasn’t left since.

Freak, who doesn’t watch TV, and has a dog, "Ruggles" and an alligator, "Gator." He has a habit of riding his mountain bike at high speeds through the streets of downtown Chicago at 2 a.m and is a dedicated Cubs fan. When we asked him for other personal info, he answered, "I like pizza." When we pressed him for other, more personal, interesting information, he glared and said "I own a genuine copy of the Necronomicon."

We pretty much shut up at that point.
