Chris Chris' "House of Payne" crept into Chicago at Rock 103.5 in January of 1995 doing part-time and weekends until December when he was propelled to the full-time on-air slot he now inhabits. He takes on responsibilities such as Local Music Director and Assistant Music Director to Jo Robinson.
Payne hosts the local music showcase "Chicago Rock" every Monday night after 12 midnight and has featured exclusive interviews with such Chicago talent as Ministry, Filter, The Jesus Lizard, and others. Chris is also responsible for the "Rock Report," a quick glimpse into the music industry heard at 5:30 and 10:30, AM and PM.
Payne comes to "The Rock" from 93 WQFM in Milwaukee, WI where he was the Midday Host and Assistant Program Director. Before that, he spent time at WIMZ, Knoxville, TN and WGCX, Mobile, AL on the Gulf Coast.
